Dose of Lola

Here it is - the portion of my stash I was dreading to photograph. I honestly don't have as much as I thought I did, which is wonderful.

Whenever I think I don't have enough reds or pinks, I look to my OPIs to remind me just how crazy that notion is.

A lot of these were dustied, hence the grody caps.

Purging these will be so much fun. :)

2 coats

Golds and I don't often get along, but Looks Like Rain, Dear is actually a shade I would wear out of the house. I think it's because it's not that icky orange shade of gold. Plus, the holo glitter really makes it special. The finish is a little textured, but a top coat will fix that easily. So far, SOPI's holiday polishes have not disappointed me.

I'm going to a holiday party tonight, so I figured now would be the perfect time to break out my holiday glitters. This is 2 coats of Essie Marshmallow, 2 coats of China Glaze Party Hearty, and 2 coats of $OPI Flurry Up. I did my base coat (Barielle hydrating Ridge Filler + Gelous) and coats of Marshmallow yesterday so that I wouldn't have to wait forever for all the coats to dry.

It's so fun! I tried to capture how blingy it is, but I got super blurry instead. I think I confused my camera with this one.

Yay!

Don't be fooled by the blue tint of Today Was A Fairytale. That's just the base color. The actual glitter is identical to the glitter in Flurry Up. Unless you're planning on wearing them alone or layered over a very light color, there's not point of owning both in my opinion.

The application of both was typical for a chunky glitter. A bit of time is needed between coats. I do appreciate having both because Today Was A Fairytale is more dense and will only need one coat while Flurry Up will need two when it comes to layering. I'll post some pictures of these layered over black and white later, but the difference is subtle.

T-B: DL TWAF, SOPI FU, DL TWAF, SOPI FU
3 coats of each.

Once again, unless you plan on wearing these alone, there's no significant need to own both. Especially since the DL is $20 and the SOPI is $9.

Here's my Sephora FF haul, minus the 55 platinum brush, which has already been put to good use. Flurry Up! and Baptiste are chillin' on top of my DiorShow Black Out backup.  I had a little tragic accident with my current bottle of NARS SG, so I cracked open a new bottle and, of course, had to buy a new backup.

They say HC Beetle is a dupe for Orly Space Cadet. It sure looks that way in the bottle.

I now have two complete sets of the Orly Cosmix collection. It's definitely my favorite collection of the year!

Makes me want to sing Christmas carols. Noooo too soon! I don't want to think about shopping for other people yet! :D Look at the glitter in Sugar Plums. effin delicious.

Okay. Tease-y Does It is beautiful, but that set was MSRP $14.95. I thought maybe it was one of those "Buy this polish and get this crappy gloss you'll never use free!" type deals when I bought the set. Nope, I was taking pictures of my haul and noticed the price sticker on the back. U GUISE! I think I paid for that dinky gloss! I tossed my receipt, so I can't even check to be sure. Oh well. :/

I'm almost caught up with my haul pictures. Yay! Let me know if you'd like to see swatches of anything in particular.

2 coats of each, accent finger is 3 coats

Okay, Flurry Up is gorgeous! I want to layer it over everything! I have Deborah Lippmann's Today Was A Fairytale and will do a comparison soon, but honestly, I don't think I need it. TWAF has a really pretty base color, but I don't think I'd wear it alone often enough to justify owning both of these. Anyway, Flurry Up is silver hexagonal and microglitters in a clear base. The application was okay, and I didn't have too much trouble getting the sequins distributed. I waited about a minute in between coats.
