Dose of Lola

Formula X's Xplosive Top Coats collection is the most indie-looking part of this entire range. I love that these glitterbombs are becoming more mainstream because mainstream = accessible. All the pretty with none of the hassle of restocks or drama.

Demolition dabbed over 3 coats RBL Starfish Patrick

Formula X Demolition's glitter mix is turqoise, lime, orange, light pink, and white hexes in varying sizes. It applied as well as a glittebomb can. I really like this glitter mix. It took forever to decide what to put it over because it looks good over pretty much everything.

Formula X Demolition retails for $12.50 and is available at Sephora.

My purging continues with some more corals. Seeing as I am addicted to all shades of coral, there will be many more coral battles to come.

Into the arena goes:

Finger Paints Circus Peanuts, Rescue Beauty Lounge Starfish Patrick, Barielle Blossom

2 coats

Finger Paints Circus Peanuts is such a pretty peachy coral creme. I like how bright and opaque this is, but the formula is thicker than I like.

3 coats

RBL Starfish Patrick is a more subdued coral due to its jelly finish. It is rare that RBL polishes have application issues, so it should come as no surprise that Starfish Patrick practically applied itself. My only gripe is I would need at least one more coat or underwear for opacity.

Barielle Blossom is so pretty, but I just cannot hang with the formula. It was so streaky and goopy that I am pretty sure I got a bum bottle. I thinned it and tried again to no avail.

Battle casualty: Barielle Blossom. I haven't been this frustrated with a polish in quite some time.

I kept a creme and jelly coral - makes sense to me. :)

 Have a great weekend!

Under The Stars is a deep navy with bright blue microglitter. There seems to be a ton of glitter in bottle, but it doesn't translate to the nail at all. That's okay, though. It's still beautiful in an understated sort of way. The application was absolutely flawless over my Barielle Hydrating Ridge Filler. I've had some issues in the past with rbl's and other base coats, so I'm happy to have found a combo that works.

No lemmings yet? Check out ALU's RBL reviews.
