About Me

I’m a Chicago-adjacent native and first-generation Nigerian. I love beauty, baking, and boozing.

Growing up, I was that obnoxious (precocious?) kid that constantly asked, “why?” Now, I like finding answers to my own questions. I am pursuing my PhD in Integrative Cell Biology, with a research focus in Cancer Biology. I quit my well-paying job to do this because I like the idea of being a scientific explorer – discovering things that no one has known before. To contribute these discoveries to the scientific community and general public is what keeps me in the lab rather than at home, snuggling with my dog.

I want this to be a place to vent my daily grad school frustrations and share what creative outlets I use to relieve some of my stress. From cake decorating to makeup, if I can make something look pretty, that’s my jam.
