Dose of Lola

At the moment, at least. :) NARS  Dolce Vita is probably the first and only lipstick I'll ever use up and repurchase. It's great on its own, but I was in Heaven when I paired it with MAC Viva Glam V last week. Love.

I've been wearing this combo every day for over a week. I'm addicted!!

 The look~~~

Cheeks: NARS Orgasm Multiple

I forgot I owned MAC Honour until a fellow MuT poster requested a comparison of that and NARS Albatross. Luckily, it didn't take me too long to find it tucked away with all my other unused pro pan blushes. After a quick self-scolding, I got to work. I added Sertao to the comparison because, quite frankly, Honour is so much closer to that than Albatross. On with the show!

Sertao, Honour, Albatross

Same order in swatches:

Sertao is much more opaque than Honour, but if applied less heavily, they're basically identical on my skin. Albatross gives off a strong yellow-gold sheen. Definitely different.

I'll be compiling my NARS shadow swatches here, so everytime I haul one (or five), refer to this post for swatches.

Sidenote: I saw someone post that MAC shadows are far superior to NARS and Stila. Uhh lol...what? Every brand has hits and misses and to place all MAC shadows above every other brand is simply delusional...

Yesterday after my exam, I spent a few hours going through my stash, and getting right of things I know I'd never use. I was pretty ruthless, except for my lip products. Why? Well, I had a big lip product phase only a couple moths ago where I binged on new purchases almost every day, so most of my lippies are still pretty new. The old junk was super easy to get rid of, but a fresh YSL RV lippie? Nope, can't do it! I did end up putting some aside to give away/swap, but I still have quite a few. Anyway, enough rambling, onto the pictures.

Isn't it purdy? I spent the night at my apartment, and I miss it already! :)

I couldn't fit everything on there though, so I had some spillage....

Overall, I'm happy with the size of my collection now. Before, I was always frustrated because looking at my stash never made me happy, and what's the point of having a bunch of makeup that doesn't make you happy?

Amirite?!

I've finally figured out the perfect lighting to take pictures in, so of course I'm in the process of photographing my entire stash. Here is my little NARS blush collection.

Purple Look, Bronzy Look
I'm loving my Dior duos. They come with a heavily pigmented matte shade and a contrasting iridescent shade.  I can't wait to get more after Easter! My favorite is definitely the pink side of Purple look. It's so gorgeously interesting and iridescent...I wish I could explain. Just trust me, it's so much more than just a frosty pink.

Flash:

 No flash:

Hopefully you can see a bit of the iridescence of that pink in the no flash picture. They're both gorgeous duos that are crazy pigmented, extremely blendable, and just a pleasure to own.

These are $37 at Sephora, $35 if you order directly from Dior.

Okay, I kind of love this primer a lot. I have ridiculously oily lids. I crease almost immediately if I don't prime, and the primers I've used alone does almost nothing for me. With that said, LORAC Behind the Scenes is by far the best primer that I have used.

I applied my eyeshadow over the primer alone, just to test it out, and the eyeshadows blended very easily. The colors didn't pop as much as they would've over UDPP, but it honestly isn't a very noticeable difference. I still creased in about 7 or 8 hours, but that's really, really, really great for me considering I usually crease within the first few hours after application, even with a base. I can only imagine the longevity people with normal lids would experience.

I also love the packaging. It's just like the Too Faced Shadow Insurance tube, but what's inside is way better. The price is very reasonable for the amount of product you get, and it's sure to last a very long time.

Try it out! Behind the Scenes retails for $20 and is available for purchase at Ulta, Sephora, as well as loraccosmetics.com
