Dose of Lola

I love OPI Ulta exclusives. Usually, they're super pretty and easy to find since I have a ton of Ultas nearby. Last year's holiday Ulta exclusives were absolutely gorgeous. OPI went with the same color scheme for this year.

2 coats
All The Berry Best is a berry red with gold pearl. The gold doesn't really translate to the nail, but it adds a nice depth to the polish. I like it better than last year's Dreaming of Red. Come to think of it, that's still untried...oops!

2 coats
Gift Of Gold is a super dense gold and copper glitter in a clear base. It's thiiiick! Maybe a couple drops of thinner may help? Maybe. Anyway, I was hoping for something as good as/better than Dazzled By Gold, but no dice. It's still pretty, though. This is similar to the Burlesque glitter.

2 coats
Plum Full Of Cheer is a deep plum with gold pearl. Again, the gold doesn't translate, but adds depth. This totally reminds me of Zoya Valerie with a different finish. That's probably why I love it so much. I love purples, so it's not surprise this is my favorite. Visions of Sugarplum was my favorite of the three last year, too!

Overall, I'm pleased with this set. They're worth having if you don't have anything similar yet.

OPI's are buy 2 get 1 free right now, so you could get all three of these for a great price. If you don't have an Ulta near you, these are definitely not worth taking a road trip! Ask a friend or swap for them.

Just wanted to share some quick swatches of this adorable mini set from Color Club!

3 coats

Super thick and goopy! I did not like applying this at all. I think I'll add a little thinner. I love the color, though. Totally Winter.

2 coats

Stunning. I need more golds in my life.

3 coats

So bright and happy! This is my favorite from the set.

2 coats

So pretty, but it'll need top coat to look smooth. No biggie.

The formula on these (minus Snowflakes) was nice. I would definitely recommend this set if you're a fan of glitters and fun colors. They're all wearable year round, too.

I was going to skip this because the colors looked really similar and boring, but they have really pretty shimmer that I thought would look interesting layered. Unfortunately, it's the same exact shimmer in every polish, so they all look super similar over black. Oh well. I like them best over black, but the look the most distinguishable over white or alone.

They were all thick and a little streaky on the first coat, but it's nothing insurmountable if you like the colors.

All the polishes were swatched over (l-r): OPI Alpine Snow, nothing, AA Hassid

My favorite of the bunch. I absolutely love it over black! I can see this looking good over tons of different shades; especially blues and greens.

I love what the shimmer does to this bright pink. The shimmer pretty much saves this from being a dud. Spice Drop looks best on its own, in my opinion.

I really want to put this over Zoya Erika for some reason. Hopefully it's as awesome a combo as it is in my head. Anyway, this was kind of meh for me. Eek, when did I develop an aversion to pinks??

Sugar Plum is my second favorite. It looks so bright and fresh! I'd wear this over anything.

Overall, this set is not a must have, but a pretty decent buy if you like a couple of the shades. I do wish that they'd included a green or blue in place of the clear top coat because really, who uses these?? Anyway, I would definitely buy full sizes of Sugar Cookie and Sugar Plum.

Alright, so I love these! I really want full sizes of N-Evergreen and Empty Stocking, which are the stand-outs in my opinion. They're all beautiful, though!

Silver foil. Not unique at all, but still pretty! It looks great under DL Happy Birthday, which is my current mani. :] This is 2 coats.

Emerald green with gold shimmer running through it. It glows like nobody's business. My ring nail is 1 coat, pinky is 2. You could probably get away with one careful, thick coat of this. Thin coats are always better, though!

Pretty, shimmery red. It reminds me of Ali's Big Break in my head, but I'm probably off. There is 1 coat on each of my nails, they're just applied differently. Ring is a thin coat (obx), pinky is a thick coat. 2 coats is ideal.

Gold foil. I usually hate golds on me, but I actually kind of like this one. This is 2 coats.

I have no recollection of skipping Empty Stocking, but obviously I did. I'm planning on doing a full mani with it soon anyway, so stay tuned for that!

This is the perfect holiday set! Together, the set screams Christmas, but Phat Sant and Jolly Holly could definitely be worn year round. They're worth every penny because you won't just be using them during the month of December. Of course, if you are in love with Part Hearty and want to wear it everyday, go for it! There are no rules.

Phat Santa is a beautiful red. It's the tiniest bit warm on me, but in the bottle it appears to be neutral. Phat Santa looks like a jelly with one coat and a squishy creme with two. I didn't expect to like this one, but I'm happily surprised.

Party Hearty. It's marvelous! I'm totally loving the plethora of sequin glitters being released lately.

Jolly Holly is a gorgeous evergreen shimmer that literally glows. Absolutely beautiful. I was most excited to try this one, and I was not disappointed.

Yay!!

First up is Black Out. This is probably as close to HG as I'll get. It darkens my lashes like no other mascara can. It's really important to me that a mascara is really pigmented because my lashes are already black. A lot of mascaras that don't pack enough pigment just end up looking grey. No bueno! Black Out also lengthens and volumizes my lashes very well and stays put all day. I get all the drama I need in one coat with the large, full brush. I love it!

Next is Iconic. Iconic is the perfect daytime mascara. It's slightly less pigmented than Black Out, but still darkens my lashes nicely. The brush separates and curls unbelievably! I have naturally curly lashes, but this just takes curly to a whole new level. Plus, the curl and definition last all day. Iconic leaves my lashes feeling soft and natural (even with multiple coats), which makes it the perfect mascara to layer a more dramatic mascara over for night looks.

Last is Extase. Extase is a bit of a problem child, but the extra effort is definitely worth it. This is the least pigmented (borderline charcoal), but I layer a darker mascara over it, so it's no biggie. The volume Extase gives my lashes is out of this world. It's such an instant effect that more than one coat is sort of overkill. I separate and darken my lashes with a coat of BE Buxom Lash, and my lashes are oomphed up and stay that way all day.

As for Diorshow and Unlimited, they were both duds for me. Black Out is Diorshow on crack (the good kind), and Unlimited is just...awful. Hopefully this helps a bit if you're as overwhelmed by all the different DiorShow mascaras as I was.
