Dose of Lola

This is the perfect holiday set! Together, the set screams Christmas, but Phat Sant and Jolly Holly could definitely be worn year round. They're worth every penny because you won't just be using them during the month of December. Of course, if you are in love with Part Hearty and want to wear it everyday, go for it! There are no rules.

Phat Santa is a beautiful red. It's the tiniest bit warm on me, but in the bottle it appears to be neutral. Phat Santa looks like a jelly with one coat and a squishy creme with two. I didn't expect to like this one, but I'm happily surprised.

Party Hearty. It's marvelous! I'm totally loving the plethora of sequin glitters being released lately.

Jolly Holly is a gorgeous evergreen shimmer that literally glows. Absolutely beautiful. I was most excited to try this one, and I was not disappointed.

Yay!!

I did a quick comparison of TDI and FB because they seemed similar in my head. I don't typically like dupes because I feel dumb for wasting money that could've been used on a unique color. Occasionally, though, I like a color so much that I don't mind having a dupe as a backup. Anyway, they're not dupes. FB's duochrome shimmer is much more obvious and than TDI. I don't prefer one over the other, and they're definitely different enough to own both.

2 coats

If I could have this in every color, I'd be a very happy camper. Bad Romance is a translucent black with fuchsia glitter and sequins. Gorgeous. I had no application issues. Just be sure to wait a bit between coats so you don't move the sequins around. It dries with some texture, but this shouldn't be an issue if you use a topcoat.

Here's my Sephora FF haul, minus the 55 platinum brush, which has already been put to good use. Flurry Up! and Baptiste are chillin' on top of my DiorShow Black Out backup.  I had a little tragic accident with my current bottle of NARS SG, so I cracked open a new bottle and, of course, had to buy a new backup.

They say HC Beetle is a dupe for Orly Space Cadet. It sure looks that way in the bottle.

I now have two complete sets of the Orly Cosmix collection. It's definitely my favorite collection of the year!

Makes me want to sing Christmas carols. Noooo too soon! I don't want to think about shopping for other people yet! :D Look at the glitter in Sugar Plums. effin delicious.

Okay. Tease-y Does It is beautiful, but that set was MSRP $14.95. I thought maybe it was one of those "Buy this polish and get this crappy gloss you'll never use free!" type deals when I bought the set. Nope, I was taking pictures of my haul and noticed the price sticker on the back. U GUISE! I think I paid for that dinky gloss! I tossed my receipt, so I can't even check to be sure. Oh well. :/

I'm almost caught up with my haul pictures. Yay! Let me know if you'd like to see swatches of anything in particular.

2 coats of each, accent finger is 3 coats

Okay, Flurry Up is gorgeous! I want to layer it over everything! I have Deborah Lippmann's Today Was A Fairytale and will do a comparison soon, but honestly, I don't think I need it. TWAF has a really pretty base color, but I don't think I'd wear it alone often enough to justify owning both of these. Anyway, Flurry Up is silver hexagonal and microglitters in a clear base. The application was okay, and I didn't have too much trouble getting the sequins distributed. I waited about a minute in between coats.

Let's start with the polish. The middle ones are Ulta Pro. Woops, I should've switched to a white backdrop!

I'm a little behind on my hauls, but hopefully I can stop buy stuff long enough to catch up this week lol!
